Welcome to the home of the Clueminati Tales.
I tried to explain what this website is and frankly the easiest and least accurate description is that this is an escape room review site.
Yes, we do offer information on the rooms we visit. We hope to share enough information that you can make an informed decision to what room will best suit your style, your mood and what you'd like to do for the evening.

But the real explanation of the site is we love stories, adventures and immersion. The rooms we play, the places we visit and people we meet all have such a passion for the rooms, these stories and 60 to 90 minute adventures they provide; we were inspired to match their energy and passion for story telling with this site.
We will launch with about 60 or so reviews in Volume I with another 100 waiting in the wings to post. You will also notice the look and feel of the review imagery will change based on the room. I like to create imagery that reflects how the room made me feel.
These pages tell the tales of our wayward team of Archivists, Seekers, Wayfinders and Cipherkeepers. We hope our adventures and stories help to inspire your own adventures.
We also hope the stories and information here not only encourage you to try some rooms but also to spend time with the people who make these wonderful experiences come to life. That has been the most rewarding part of our adventures.
If you are in the Escape Room profession and the site inspires to put pen to paper or there is a topic you'd like us to cover, we'd love to add your thoughts to the lore contained here.
SO HOW DOES "THIS" WORK?
The "reviews"
I put review in quotes because this is less about the numbers and more about what a room makes you feel or the story you want to talk about afterwards.
We hope this site inspires the desire to have that experience so you can talk about it afterwards. When that room ends, you just have to chat with the GM about that one moment. That one puzzle that you loved, how that piece of lore connected from the first moment to the last, that scare that totally took you off guard; whether it was a moment or all of the moments, we hope this site gets you motivated to try a new room.
This site hope to better give you a sense of how the room made us feel and if that feeling is what you are looking for. Are you looking for a scare, a smile, a story full of whimsy or a whodunit? We hope the info in here becomes a fun way of conveying how the room made us feel to help you make a decision on the best room for your mood.
That also ties into the narrative approach to the site. The images, story, how we convey a room visually; that is all about how that room made us feel. We do not try to replicate a companies branding or their visual story telling elements because we could never do it justice and it is also not the purpose of the site.
This site is about those chronical of our authentic stories. What we experienced, what we felt, what we loved about the room and people we met and ultimately what story it inspired from us and how we tell those tales. This really started as a fun team name we needed before we started a room and quickly evolved into a whole mythology, a system to categorize rooms, and visual identity for a group of friends who's version of a game night is an escape room.
We hope the stories here inspire you to get out and play some amazing rooms from some truly remarkable artst, owners and game masters who share this same passion.
