Review
We learned from our afternoon at Ocala’s Escape that this is one of their oldest rooms and might be getting refreshed or replaced in the near future.
In my humble opinion you would not know this was an older room at all.
This is a fantastic room.
Wonderful immersion, great use of special fx, lighting and sound design (one of the better radios in terms of use and quality of audio too) and a perfect balance of puzzle diversity and density. Just overall this is a room you just take in once you start to let yourself be immersed in the environment and story.
Also, I must applaud their use of a live actor. It’s more in the intro and a few elements here and there but the balance of interaction really upped the vibe of the room.
Again, I cannot praise this room enough and highly recommend it. Perfect for a team of two to four players.
Story
So folk lore says for generations this part of the county people would venture into the woods and never return.
Sooo we are going into said woods … why?
Where is your sense of adventure?
It’s at home … on the couch … watching scary movies; think it’s next to the popcorn bucket.
