Wow

 

This room … just an amazing journey into immersive game play.

 

This absolutely is in my top five scary rooms to play. This is in the conversation with Cornstalkers, Exterminated, Ghastly Escapes, Whispering Pages, Echoes of Murder Heights and Seventh Room for immersive scary rooms. All have their own unique style but The Basement totally is in this conversation.

 

This room has some of the best story telling that connected minute 1 to minute 75. My hats off to this location as the extra 15 minutes gives time for some of the narrative pieces that happen throughout the experience so you are never rushed to not pay attention and this room requires you to listen as you are 100% part of the story. 

 

What is also impressive is the footprint isn’t big, this is a perfect two-three person room. That does not mean there aren’t things to do, the puzzles are diverse, unique and wonderfully connected to the story; the footprint is just not very large. 

 

This room really used technology to help advance the story but doesn’t crutch on it. They use it to help weave a wonderful scary story and has nice use of a live actor. If you are anti-live actor, try this room as it might change your mind. It’s limited and helps move the game without being intrusive.

 

I cannot rave about this game highly enough.
