the haunted hotel

Excellent Houdini room. 

 

This was a blast to play. 

 

This game really balances telling a thoughtful and honest story of Houdini’s life while adding wonderful escape room elements to enhance the story.

 

The immersion was very strong and really did a great job in set dressing connected directly to tasks and puzzles without losing sight of the narrative that flowed seamlessly throughout the experience. 

 

There were some really fun tasks and some nice magical elements that were integrated into the game play. 

 

This was mildly spooky but felt comfortable for all ages; certainly use your judgement for who is in your crew but nothing here felt scary and just mildly spooky (some lighting effects and the subject is other-worldly – if you know Houdini and his wife you can infer where the room goes narratively).

 

Overall it was a great game and I highly recommend this room.
