I have to start with this disclaimer, I never met an escape room I didn't love. First Gen, great mapping, home brew - there is something to love with every room. I need to say that first before the rest of the text that follows.

 

In some ways this was my "first" escape room.

Now I played a lot of rooms prior to this one but this room introduced me to that perfect marriage of great game play, heavy narrative, huge footprint and live actor. This is what a fully immersive experience could be and made me question why this is called an escape room because there was nothing I wanted to leave. 

 

There was a level of world building that this room and so many others inspired Clueminati Tales; giving yourself to the story - surrounding yourself to the narrative or our motto - Permitte Te Fabulae. 

 

This is a perfect room. 

 

Some moodiness, some spookiness, magic, thrills and levels of immersion off the scale. Then there are the puzzles which are delightful in variety and seamless mapping connecting to the broader narrative building to such a rewarding ending. 

 

This is a room I cannot wait to introduce my friends and family to see their experience.

 

Play this with that group of friends you love to talk movies, stories or argue which superhero would beat a horror icon. Then you can add this room to that conversation.

 

Sad to hear the creators of this space are moving on but so excited the care of this room and location is falling to the talented and passionate people at Escape Ventures - another perfect marriage.
