special ops: mysterious market

This was a delightful game.

 

Right off the bat, I’m not too proud to admit I have actively avoided The Escape Game. The introvert in me likes the group I play with and I avoid public games. I really don’t want to alter the way I approach a room and playing with strangers would take me out of my zone. 

 

So on a lark, we decided to give it a try to see if we could snag a solo game without paying for all the spots. The GM completely accommodated us as we waited for a room to open up that didn’t book up and we picked that room and I am so glad we did.

 

This was an awesome room. Lovely immersion, great story which really pushed the game play and the reason to be there and tackling what we were tasked with accomplishing (being vague to avoid spoilers). 

 

Great use of technology without going over the top and this had one of the best designed “elevators” we have experienced in an escape room and such a smart one (assuming they reset the room behind us).

 

Highly recommend this room and cannot wait to return to hopefully find another empty booking to play.
