Story
So the Tillman's also owned and operated an insane asylum?
Dr. Paul Tillman's Pleasant Home for the Insane.
Pleasant home? I usually enjoy some irony but that just seems twisted.
He was rumored to have has a penchant for torture for his patients. As the story goes he experimented with ice baths, shock therapy, blood letting and inverting people for hours - other really nasty things too.
And we are visiting here why?
It was closed in the late 60's and if we want to investigate ghosts we have to go where they still live.
Why can't the ghosts live at Disneyworld or Epic Universe?
Review
This is a wonderful, moody and spooky room.
Dare2Escape is known for their ability to create wonderful immersive environments and this room is a fantastic example of their craft.
The story is rich and layered, I love they extend their Tillman lore across all of their rooms. The puzzling and mapping is spot on and ties directly to the story.
While there are a few jump scares this room is more about the environment, the vibe and experience you have navigating through the rooms, soaking in the ambience, the audio and set dressing which is a rich tapestry of dread and moody goodness.
Cannot recommend the room highly enough. Such great and diverse puzzles, nice mix of scavenger elements, technology, thoughtful puzzles and story-driven progression.
Suggest playing 7th Room and Archive when you are visiting this location too.
