Story
Space ... the final frontier
Not helping
I don't feel likely I've boldly arrived here but might be where no man has gone before.
Not sure we are going to pun or bad-reference our way out of this situation.
If the force was with you a bit more we might not be stuck here.
Force ... I'll force this mop somewhere if you don't start helping.
Careful with that door over there it looks like 'a trap'
...
Will you open that door please <before I hurt you>
I'm sorry Dave but I can't do that
I hate you so much right now.
Review
Starting with a story that bears repeating if you have or haven't read our review yet on A Not So Fairytale Ending.
We took a trip in the late spring to hit some rooms in the Charlotte area and were looking to add a room on the way up and Lock, Clock and Peril came up as a recommendation for ... well ... everyone.
Thank the escape room gods it did.
As with all things, we stopped to play just this room and ended up playing two more before we played this one and spoiler alert, we cannot wait to return to play the rooms we didn't play this visit.
This was one of the two rooms we added during the visit and we are so glad we did.
This is such a great concept for a room. Just everything but what I love the most is the logic to the storytelling and the pay off.
There is a reason why you are here, what you are doing and a subtle/not subtle explanation at the end of the experience for everything. I wish I could share more but it's best experienced in person.
What was truly cool to learn is that everything here was hand created by the owners. Truly wonderful craftsmanship and story tellers and such humble, warm people. The variety of tasks and experiences is excellent; great use of different elements to not only progress you through the room but help connect seamlessly to the story.
Overall, a great room for the whole family or a fun day or night out with friends. This is a nice 2-4 person room with plenty for everyone to do and nothing scary for the kids here - this room is high on the whimsy and charm.
Highly recommend this room and spending the afternoon playing a few games and this special location.
