Story
We were just going to find our friend. Haven't seen him in a hot minute and heard he was out this way doing some investigation work.
It always starts out this way right? "Will only take 20 minutes." "We will be quick." "What could go wrong?"
All the things ... that is the answer; all the things.
Did not see this coming.
We knew a storm was brewing when we pulled up to the place, we didn't know what kinda storm was inside.
Review
We toured Charlotte and played all the places. We hit Nocturne, Keepers, Doors and a few other places.
Masterpiece and this room in particular were arguably my favorite from the trip.
This room was a masterclass in narrative pacing and game flow and building tension with every new part of the story we uncovered. Where the room ended up; I did not see coming.
I avoided any information about the room prior to just live in the narrative and I am so happy I did.
The last room was just a shock in the best kinda way imaginable. The entire experience was incredible but that last room; it truly set this room apart.
If you are deciding where to spend your time and money next trip to NC, make this your first stop as all the rooms are great but this is a stand out experience. It hits the immersion, puzzle flow/variety/density and surprises better than any room I've played.
