curse of the mummy (new)

So we played and reviews the first Curse of the Mummy many moons ago and it was a fun game. When we were playing it, we kept saying (I'm not making this up), "I wish the folks at Escape Ventures or Evasive could get their hands on this one to really amp up all the things"

Turns out our wish was granted.

Not only did Escape Ventures make this location their flag-ship home on International Drive but Evasive had a hand in the build too. 

​

If you never had the pleasure of playing a room from either team, you are in for a real treat. This is like Lucas and Spielberg collaborating for that little archology movie series.

The room? 

​

Well it's a delight. Seriously ... this is just an amazing room. It's a 90 minute room so the puzzles are dense but all flowed so well and connected to the narrative perfectly. The lighting, special fx, music were pure cinematic. 

​

One topic I also need top bring up; both of these creators excel at is puzzle mapping. There are a handful of creators that really have this down pat and this room really illustrates it. 

​

I highly recommend this room and pair it with Echoes to really make it a fun, spooky and adventure filled day.

PS, if KJ II is working; she is wonderful. One of the best GM's we've played with.
