Story

Did you read this invitation we got in the mail?

We didn't get that in the mail.

But it's addressed to us and it's a letter.

Both are correct but we didn't get it in the mail.

Okay Sherlock, how did we get the letter?

Did you not see the crow in the corner?

I might have missed the crow in the corner.

The letter, once you read it all, asks us to respond and the crow will return our response.

The Order of the Three Keys is asking for our assistance to investigate Edmond Cavanaugh.

I'm having a Deja vu moment.

Me too.

Have we done this before?

Review

This will be a challenging review to write as I want to share my experience but want to avoid giving away too many details to avoid any hint of a spoiler.

Let's go with a collection of info in no particular order:

This is one of two rooms at Doors of Divergence and this is the first room you should play.

The rooms have stories and experiences that will change based on your choices so they are re-playable and I cannot wait to replay them both to see the other experiences.

Live actors are seamlessly woven into the game play and, if you are not a fan of live actors, I think this room will change your mind as we loved it. The actor(s) were amazing.

The experience starts right when you walk into the door to the location. Its full immersion from the start until you leave.

They have a bar so go a bit early and enjoy a drink.

The puzzles, woven into the story telling perfectly. Great mapping, thoughtful story telling and diverse things to tackle. Really cool technology without being a tech-room.

Fully transparent, one puzzle vexed us a bit but we were able to skip some elements which was a blessing as I was getting a tidbit frustrated. The suggestion, try all the puzzles and if you too, have the same challenge, ask for help (totally make the experience enjoyable).

I could share more but do not want to spoil.

Last one, if time permits and if they aren't busy, chat with the actors. They are truly wonderful people and amazing at their craft.

Cannot recommend this room highly enough and cannot wait to be back to tackle it again.
